Malcolm’s foundation was laid in the church. It was there he often used his gifts of rap, singing, and poetry to reach the youth in the city of Detroit. Years of performing at local events helped develop his art and passion for people. His style is a fuse of gospel, rap, pop and soul, with influences such as, Lauryn Hill, Kirk Franklin, Toby Mac, and Kanye West. Many years later he joined forces with a close friend to form hiphop group (MidixKama) who would be featured in XXL’s 2015 freshman issue. They released singles like, "The System", and "Good" which created a fanbase and allowed them to perform on stages like the Flavor Fest. Malcolm continues to push to deliver quality music without compromising his message of love and hope.
